Why is this news? Ubuntu really hasn't brought anything to the table that other distros haven't. We really should be talking about Arch. That's the key to getting the world switched off of proprietary crap and onto FOSS.
Given the recent shakeup at GNU, perhaps the "GNU" branding should be dropped, in order to make this project more welcoming to women and the oppressed.

Because they don't have the people of Palo Alto who refuse to acknowledge that the train tracks preceded their town, and think they have the right to prevent new rail development through it.
