Why you would build different server features for different client's? Aren't server endpoints supposed to be independent of the client specific implementation?
I wish more companies would follow the way of open source, self-hosted free version and paid version hosted in the cloud. Win - win.

This is not a rivalry, this is collaboration. NASA has different goals and SpaceX has different goals, but where they can, they're working together. Without NASA's contracts SpaceX wouldn't be where it's right now.
And even those 60k Euro is for western Europe. In central-eastern Europe it's around half of it.
