IIRC, this was just one engineer's side project to take their existing container tech, which might be too 'advanced' for most users, and make a one-off addon that more users might be interested in. Do you think that…
I'm in the middle of reading a pretty interesting book, where that is one of the core arguments - Weapons of Math Destruction, by Cathy O'Neil - I recommend checking it out if you are curious to learn more about the…
Previously you could only write code for the Unreal Engine with C++ or the visual scripting system, Blueprints. This allows people to use C# for everything that they would normally need C++ to add to their games - which…
I've opened up the calculator a couple of times and gotten a prompt to rate/review it on the Windows Store... What is the purpose of doing that with built-in apps? It's just annoying.
I don't like any of the flavored versions... Cacao was way too sweet, Nectar tasted like drinking a bottle of Windex, and while I actually kinda liked the Coffeist version, it tasted more like chocolate than coffee to…
Who in the world wants these so badly? I'm excited to get one... but it's not like I'm in a huge rush to play 30 year old games... If I really wanted to play them right now, I could download an emulator.
It's not a subject that I have done a ton of reading on, but from the many random articles that I have read over the years, it really seems like the bulk of nutritional science is still pretty much trial and error...…
$2.69 per 400 kcal. bottle
I hope that's the case... It would make sense, since this doesn't appear to be an action Apple has taken on a regular basis.
Maybe it's just because the site is getting hammered, but whether I view it on my phone or computer, I just see a cool visualization of paper planes flying around the world, but I see no way to interact with it at…

The closest that I have come across would probably be MealSquares - which still contain a good deal of animal products (milk, eggs) - but they seem to be going for a similar goal as Soylent, but making a 'solid' final…
Can't stick my Game Genie in it, either...
But you often have to play the game for half an hour before you start running into really gross IAPs, though. If you want to find games that don't have those predatory game loops and IAPs, the only way seems to be to go…
This study doesn't seem to be attempting to address the issue of a lack of women 'entering' engineering fields.. but the lack of women 'staying' in engineering fields long term.
I only skimmed the article, but I didn't get the impression that the writer was suggesting that the changes are going to immediately result in Apple losing sales or loyal customers... They admit that Apple is still the…
I believe it just said that ad-blockers will 'impact performance' - Which is technically correct... they didn't specify if it was negatively or positively ;)
I work at a medium-sized game studio, and we have a profit sharing system, but my understanding is that it is rare in the industry. We are essentially self-publishing, so that helps.
Huh... I'm on Chrome in Windows 10, and I have Google Analytics blocked, and the rest of the page loads fine for me.
I don't think that's correct either. My understanding is that the issue with DirectX 12 is that it is limited to Windows 10 - So people still on Windows 7/8 can't play DX12 games. AFAIK, you can use DX12 in non-UWP…
I don't think that rathboma was suggesting that you might get fraudulent changes on the card - but any other service that you use which currently has that card on record could now potentially be compromised by anyone…
Huh? I've been using ADP's online 'portal' for over 2 years - no idea how long it existed before then. Is there a specific part of the service that they expanded to be online this year?
This isn't the first time Youtube has dramatically changed their terms, and forced creators to basically accept them or leave, though... so it is pretty easy to assume the worst when it comes to Youtube.
