Hydrofluoric acid. Nasty, nasty stuff.
This is absolutely a false equivalence. Google and Meta choose to give the government all sorts of data that they're not required by law to give, because they don't see it as worthwhile to go to bat for their users. You…
25 feet is actually pretty far. You could be on top of a two story building or across the street and still be "too close". Obviously neither of those cases would interfere with an officer's duties. To me this law is…
What is your alternative which is better than a jury trial?
It works fine, I use it all the time for my hobby OS development.
I consider line wrapping to also be part of a sufficiently smart editor, and line limits should also go away in an ideal world. The limiting factor on line length should be "is this too complex for your coworkers to…
The grocer's apostrophe (which I will argue should be called the grocers'(1) apostrophe, since there are many offending grocers) is the bane of my existence (1) My phone absolutely tried to correct that back to…
I maintain, that if everybody used a sufficiently smart editor, tabs for indentation and spaces for alignment would be the objectively correct choice.
They will have inherent _output_ latency.
If it's the one I'm thinking of: the title was about government, but all of the examples in the article were private firms with profit motives. The author implied that government must work the same way as industry, but…
You over estimate the 'semi-pro' market for graphics cards. Gamers are barely willing to pay for 20GB. There's no market for consumer cards with an order of magnitude more RAM until games are built to use that memory.

That doesn't address my assertion that "unprofessional" is used as a cudgel to abuse minorities.
How is any of that related to the issues I raised? I never argued that any of that was acceptable. I'm not arguing that anyone should be able to do anything in the workplace, and that is a bad-faith reading of what I…
Bike lanes aside, if they aren't checking their shoulder they could also easily hit a person approaching the crosswalk. GP is just a shitty driver, is my takeaway.
This varies state-by-state. In Oregon the bike lane is not a turning lane, and the locals will express their displeasure if you use it as such. We have bike boxes and lots of no-right-turn-on-red signs instead.

If you're currently building from source, presumably you have `-march=native` in your CFLAGS anyway, so you wouldn't gain any perf improvements from using the pre-compiled ones.
I know this is a joke, but you can get a shocking amount out of a baofeng with a good antenna, a preamp and some good filtering. Whether that's worth it compared to just buying a more reliable radio probably depends on…

As others have said, certificate transparency seems to be doing some heavy lifting here. It reports subdomains for me that have never had a public CNAME or A record, but have had let's encrypt certs issued for internal…
