You can choose to get paid with money or choose “payment by other means” which is what open source licenses extract from the people who use the code. Asking for one then petulantly demanding the other is childish.
Seems more like they built an application which violated the App Store rules from the beginning and now want an exception carved out for them “because Linux” or something. Emulating a whole system that itself follows…
Use for sleep is off label but some psychiatrists still do it. Don’t expect anyone to offer it as a replacement without a very good reason.
