Recently discovered cloud run and it's absolutely amazing. I will be using it for as much as possible going forward. Cheap, easy, scaling. For a crud app it does everything you could ever want.
Do you guys do take home coding assessments?
If go gets generics I will never use it again.
App engine isn't going anywhere. Don't be so dramatic.
You make it sound like it a marriage or something. If you don't like it you can always leave. That's worked for me so far.
This is great! I'm bootstrapping an app now and I think I will give this a try. I hope the pub sub support gets added soon.
I don't get it. SPAs are easy to make and have way more pros than cons.
React in the front, Node in the back (or Golang if you need extra performance), postgres for DB.
We already have parcel.js which does all of this really well.
If roads were 20x wider I guarantee traffic would be reduced or damn near eliminated. They just want an excuse to charge people and/or enable the rich to get special transport privileges. Also where do they get off…
Surprised to see somewhere based in Grants Pass! Could you give me a hint on your salary ranges?
"Meritocracy is hard to fight." If think we live in a meritocracy you are delusional.
This looks awesome! I would love to do something like this with my wife. I would be very interested to see how it works out for you after launch.
Looks like some people are in denial :P
Go will eventually take over the space Java currently occupies, so I would go that route. Java's days are numbered.
Did you Enable it?
Portland would win if it wasnt so close to Seattle
At least this recruiter wont be as dumb moving forward. It's important as a recruiter to understand what the hell it is you are looking for in a candidate. I personally thought the applicant handled this perfectly.

I loved this feature! This makes me sad. It really shouldn't be a big deal to let people enable it for their own accounts or to just disable it for mobile. I don't see the benefit of just getting rid of it completely.
Yep!
