Founder of DidLog (www.didlog.com) and Babl Media (www.bablmedia.com). Beauty can be found in the very simple to the very complex, both equally challenging to create and maintain. There is no easy way to achieve this beauty other than thorough understanding of what needs to be created, what emotions should be evoked, and what challenges need to be overcome. Small things should be purposefully small. Big things should be obviously large and powerful. The reason so many designers are average is that everything they design is average. Small things are medium. Large things are medium. Be bold. Be passionate. Let everyone know what you really mean, and try to change the world.
I think this just goes to show you the power that some well put together info graphics, attractive photography, and interesting content can get you. Even though it's a scam, they know how to package it correctly.
So what this article is really saying (although reluctantly it seems) is that methodologies really do work, it's just not that they're the end-all and be-all. You need to have common vision and communication that works…
If nothing else, we can rest our hat on that.
