Thanks, very interesting!
Preinstalled McAfee crapware, what did you expect? I understand manufacturers get some money for putting that shit on the computer before they sell it, but it really diminishes the value of their product.
Agreed, and it's not coding, it's not creative. This will be the most boring event ever.
Thus article states that the NSA will get the information anyway. Even if this is true it may be a good thing to choose a search engine that makes a point of at least not tracking you itself. Sadly Google has much…
Wow, lots of python. I use it quite a bit too but mainly for scripting. What are you guys using it for?
If your data isn't safe when someone has access to it "forever" then you haven't encrypted it good enough. I'd still prefer them not to keep it though.
Yep, stupid people exist. There are a lot of them actually. What was your point again?
... all Cases, except Treason ...
Yep, feels like early stage dementia to me. Quite a sad story.
Instead of boring A/B testing, let's discuss these "live chat widgets". Does anyone here actually use these? I consider them annoying popups and rather send an email if I have any questions.
My sink is dirty, but my work is clean.
Couldn't you just use sqlite with blobs? Or, you know, use files?
What a worthless article. Better read the original research here: http://www.pewglobal.org/2013/05/13/the-new-sick-man-of-euro... On page 6 they detail the sample sizes (around 600 people from each country).

Sure it does. It does make your life more annoying as you have to specify the port every time (and you have to remember it). Some software/firewalls/proxy servers may have trouble with the nonstandard port. If all that…
Looks good, but an online version to try it out would be nice. I'm not going to write a poem on my phone (and I've got an android phone).
Just a plain old RDMS?
Someone should order some for the guys in the ISS.
You should be glad your urls are so intuitive that they are easily hackable. Keep it that way and don't change them (breaking stuff is bad). Nobody really ever follows links with REST anyway. That idea is nice in theory…
NSFW!
I'm not sure the ISS has enough delta-v to get back down quickly. Lowering the orbit enough so that it will fall down in a few weeks is probably possible.
I'd think that with the extra money you're paying they could offer you more legroom. I'd have no trouble with paying more if I'm taking up more weight and space.
> Openbeta from Betaworks (a new medium company) This looks like a placeholder for a company/productname/tagline. Could not be any more bland.
Still deep in the uncanny valley in my opinion.
Good PR, but why would anyone want to get part of their salary paid in bitcoins? You get the disadvantages of both.
