Assuming that "bad developers" is indeed the root cause, that still sounds like a systemic issue to me: a) are the developers bad because they were hired that way? maybe the hiring process is broken b) are the…
Not the person you were replying to, however for me it mainly helped me understand that my loved ones' drinking was not something I could control, and it allowed me to let go of the anger and resentment (easier said…
Same here, been to Al-Anon meetings in London UK, all hosted in church basements and with zero religious nonsense being spouted... just the Serenity Prayer and tbh that one is just plain good advice so I did not mind :)…
I would avoid anything provided by Laureate Online, I have an MSc from the University of Liverpool that was provided by them and although the degree was legitimate, the quality of the "tuition" and course material was…
It's an interesting conundrum, because ultimately the FAA doesn't have more engineering expertise than Boeing so all they can do is force Boeing to prove that they have done their due diligence in confirming that the…
Taking your argument a bit farther: let's assume that indeed the only issue present is a faulty MCAS implementation and that gets fixed. If the aircraft comes with additional training and certification requirements for…
No it didn't, you uninformed person. The two companies are in talks about a joint venture, but it's not yet ratified because the antitrust authorities in several countries haven't finished their due diligence yet.
I'm just glad that Tarn is finally looking concerned about his own health, considering he has (according to interviews) been living like a hermit and subsisting on red bull and soft drinks...
I read the first and while the ideas explored were interesting, I found the writing itself to be completely off-putting: - first of all, Three Body seems like the most boring videogame ever developed, not sure how…
I don't believe in good faith arguments when it comes to services operated by big corporations: regardless of the good intentions of the humans originally involved, the corporate machine at some point takes over, and…
I keep on trying to love duckduckgo but find that often even typing the exact title of an article I'm looking for, it's not on the first page of results...
It really depends on the organization: the Holy Grail is to have a well developed Sales Support function that prepares decks for sales people from a data source which is pre-approved (some investment banks have that,…

It's still worth a read, and as well a summary article/comment written by the author (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/324102543_On_the_en... , pdf available). The study is not without its limitations…
Sounds like Boeing all right (source: I work at an MRO and deal with them regularly). They don't do nice and fuzzy but they will get to the bottom of the technical aspect of the investigation. Out of cynicism, however,…
I remember when I installed Debian on my old Toshiba laptop in 2004 (all 16x CDs of it, which a friend had to download for me coz I had no broadband), I couldn't update it because the ethernet network adapter (no wifi)…
Ignoring WebMD for a second because there are no citations in the article so all we have is the word of the person who wrote the article, it's usually not enough to cite a single contrary article to make a claim that…
A lot of pharmacies I see in Europe and UK sell homeopathy, and by according to a schoolmate who graduated in Pharmacy and inherited the license to run one from his dad (Italy is weird like that), homeopathic products…
My uneducated guess would be that someone who is so B12-deficient to require an injection (rather than just taking a daily pill) is unlikely to be able attend a Goop wellness event on account of the neurological damage…
