I definitely experienced this. The problem for me was that in addition it made it harder to deal with tough feedback as self worth is connected to the work.
One way I deal with this is having co-workers also create tickets if they need help with something. That way I can still be a team player but there is also documentation about how much I helped which is otherwise hard…
