You would have to do this enough for it to be statistically significant otherwise it probably just averaged away. OTOH....once might be seen as smoke-screening, making you more suspicious.

I agree. I can only assume that the article is an example of one possible line of solution. Given the performance characteristics of human typing speed I would use a disc-based database. Simple to implement.
