I'm a student of physics and math with a particular focus in biophysical chemistry and theoretical biophysics. Armchair philosopher and economist as well a lover of "trees" and modernist poetry :)
One of many typos unfortunately. Keeping track of everything explicitly its n^2. Also it really, really depends on the level of theory for the scaling of quantum regions/algorithms. To say at minimum O(n^5) is incorrect.

Wow a biophysics related article on HN. I can finally be an interesting commenter! First and foremost, no one is writing off quantum mechanics. There are a lot of physical mechanisms that can't be well described by…
Technically that's the AFTAC.
Thanks for doing this. Random acts of kindness may not make the world go round but it certainly makes people happy =)
There's something to be said about how fantastically developed the world is relative to even a decade ago let alone 100 years or more. That said; progress isn't made by mass contentment. We must always do analysis on…
I wish you luck in your endeavor. You're realistic but may be a little hard on yourself (I can't speak for your abilities in truth). Keep positive and possibly do OS projects as well.
That isn't the only problem addressed. Misinterpretation and/or abuse of statistics is prevalent in scientific literature more often then you would think. Repeatability, consensus and peer review are good ways of…
