This is why I still use Winamp, nothing else comes close to dealing with playlists of thousands of items while also being fairly customisable.
ConEmu is probably the best terminal for Windows at the moment, but it takes some customization to get there, and it has some strange concepts.
I'm not sure what the challenges involved are since I'm just a .NET guy who uses a debian home server, but I would switch to FreeBSD instantly if I could get utf-8 support in my irssi.

You can already increase the width of the console, you just need to use Properties menu.
No, from my reading of the guidelines I took that any form of persistent browser storage falls under them. I'm not a lawyer though, just a British web developer who has had to comply with this law.
I'm fairly certain I was able to just 'aptitude install gitit' on debian stable, edit the config file and 'gitit -f gitit.conf' to be up and running.
I've used gitit a fair bit for some personal things and I'm very impressed. Unlike doku-wiki it was still lightning fast when running off of an old EeePC 700 (630Mhz Celeron).
Before Vista came out I managed to cut down an XP image to ~200MB in ISO form and less than 300MB on a "fresh" install on real hardware ("fresh" because it was Service Pack 3+ slipstreamed into the install ISO). That…
