I feel like Manjaro is approaching some hardware companies and offering some sort of patnership. Minisforum is also exclusively(?) marketing Manjaro for their MiniPCs (besides Windows of course).
I was diagnosed with thyroid problems (hashimoto) when I was around 18. Now, 12 years later, I can safely say: It did help with some of the tiredness, a specific kind of tiredness. I am still tired in a different way. I…
There are several types still in circulation from what I gathered. The common white/greyish ones might still be a health risk. Supposedly these blue ones that some shops have adapted is a lot better (and even…
Invidious might be something worth looking at
This. I always had very bad skin and seemingly random outbreaks of my dermatitis. Also breathing issues (asthma related) would appear in tandem. I figured it out when peeling some potatoes and my skin started itching…
Can't find the video and it's not a climate protestor per se. But this came to mind: https://metro.co.uk/2022/07/15/gb-news-reporter-laughs-off-w... I've seen the video sometime back and it was absolutely bonkers the…
Try SmartTubeNext (if your Chromecast is an android TV).
Oh wow. A bit unrelated but 10 MWh is a lot for me. Even the mentioned 6 MWh for Hawaii. Here in Germany the average (single household) is at around 1.5 MWh. My first instinct would be "of course, US households almost…
Amazing work! Ever since I watched the documentary about the ScanPyramids Project I've been waiting for a full 3D Scan (moreso even for a VR Project, but that's only a small step from this). I figured they were probably…
Pointing out the obvious that doing a 360 would change absolutely nothing since you'd end up facing the same direction you started with. Did you mean: 180?
Yes, from a Facebook Account to a Meta Account...
Being part of "the German Godot Discord" Server and skimming through the Godot subreddit from time to time. Yes, yes it helped. Several people are asking for advice on how to make the switch.
I didn't even see the Gen2 release. I own the Gen1 after much consideration (and very nice community management from Tom over at the XMG Subreddit). I got it in December of 2021 for about 600 Euros. (Great Deal). I know…
OBS is an amazing piece of software. I remember when I first dabbled in livestreaming and everything was either pricey or broken. I am currently using OBS solely as a method to grab screens/windows and use a custom…
This, from what I gathered the Librewolf fork is way better at this: https://librewolf.net/
FWIW iirc it was continued for some time by apache (https://incubator.apache.org/projects/wave.html) but is also discontinued now. (I hope thats the correct project, but I'm pretty sure). Also here:…
I've been quite pleased with Planka https://github.com/plankanban/planka Though I haven't actually tried many alternatives.
There are several neat projects floating around regarding these Nordic devices (most cheap Chinese smart watches have these too). From my experience and he newer nrf52 chips are vastly more supported by software than…
I've said it before and I will say it again. Their account system is a joke. Some time ago someone compromised my account (and I am 99.8% sure it was not because of a weak password). I only noticed because I got an…
Pigs are not too far off when it comes to the overall body. I believe the idea to use a pig's heart is one off availability (and maybe ethics). A ton of pigs are slaughtered each and every day, we already use several…
From what I know (having owned two Xiaomi Phones with the 'Remote Functionality') it is a basic IR LED (just like a universal remote). The LED is seated on the top of the phone (like a regular remote) so capturing that…
I experimented with the old 550D of my dad. I got a successful clean picture using either USB (canon supplies a "USB Webcam Software", though the 550D is not officially supported it works. I also managed to get clean…
One should still be able to just mount the disk and not boot the OS associated to browse through the files? Not fully automated but at least some solution and maybe worthwhile for smaller businesses
This is nice. I'm wondering, since this uses a windows VM, as long as there is no dedicated GPU passed through this is probably restricted to older/graphically less intensive games right? Sadly most servers at least…
This is somewhat valid, though weirdly it doesn't always translate to both axes(?). For example when playing Wind Waker my then GF couldn't handle the left-right camera being "reversed" (from her point of view). In Wind…
