Looking at all leaks coming from Google, including Dragonfly and Maven do you think that NSA could access data directly without any engineer noticing it and going to the media with it? I doubt it.
If you don't have google account then your data is stripped from all PII making identification virtually impossible. How do you want to instruct Google to delete your data if it cannot tell what's your data?
