Agreed on the haptics, a literal nightmare device with them enabled. But without I find it keeps me less tethered to the phone, and able to check on calls and messages during a conversation without breaking the flow

100% this on my rMBP 2015. Almost every time too. I notice my PC will give a similar 'system interrupts' reaction with Task Manager, however.

one of my only major gripes with my 2015 MBP is the usb performance, constantly dropping connection or being generally unreliable with harddrives etc. a shame to see this hasn't improved with the new models....
