Kids, I'd suspect. More and more of them are stuck exclusively on tablets. From what I can tell, there isn't even a version of Roblox Studio available. Scratch seems to work though.
I'm really disappointed that "Edenborough" isn't some hitherto unknown place with a similar name to the one I'm thinking of.
Flashpunk?
This is cool as hell but why sell yourself short? The rest of the tree is pretty cool too.
IIRC Torque3D is based on Tribes 2 but a lot has been replaced over the years.
If only USB was peer to peer like FireWire. Then again, there'd probably be some trade-off to that.
Just off the top of my head, Ross Scott on youtube (AccursedFarms) has plenty of videos on the subject. A few of them are tucked away in reviews but he now has a dedicated "dead game news" series. These may not be games…
It's a fun little thing but BEWARE! It's still a bit buggy and crashy* and rough around the edges. You can kinda see what Zep is going for but a lot of it is quite mysterious and there's little in the way of API docs…
I've always wondered what Japanese console style games would look like on the Amiga and whether it was underpowered or I just didn't like the design of most of it's games. Bonk got a fab conversion by Factor 5 but they…
Completely detached from the debugging experience but that actually looks like a cute little custom GUI framework ...and it's all in C!
I agree that we need a new - less crufty - standard to replace HTML/CSS/JS but there's another point which I feel has been sorely missed in previous efforts. I want a FUN standard. I want to make cool looking sites that…
I only know about this one because it was parodied at the end of a Ren and Stimpy episode (Ren Needs Help!) and I thought it was the funniest punchline I'd ever heard. It's always a little disappointing to find out that…
I'm confused. How do they expect to arrest the entire house of commons?
In-house non-llvm compiler? Ooh! This looks fun! Will definately give this a peruse.
Bob Nystrom's Crafting Interpreters is generally well regarded these days although I'm unaware of any of the classic "so you want to build a programming language" texts.
Facebook, Twitter et al have entire office floors to deal with legal threats. The UK police love to go after "soft" targets and there's no-one softer than someone who's life can immediately be ruined by arresting them…
Is there an accompanying VenerealDiseaseRecord? That seems like the sort of thing that this would tie to, seeing as this tracks prophylactic status and nothing else.
I'm very shocked that these were only discovered so recently (Well. If you consider the early 2000's to be "recent". I'd have assumed that we'd have found these out earlier) I suppose that's why they were all the rage…
"Fun-Size". Although, like many more famous people who've made this observation: Where's the "fun" in less chocolate?
You've just given me a wonderful flashback to Adam and Joe. (Hopefully not region locked by Channel 4!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWtQW8vAslc
I can't believe that they're encouraging MORE Unity games to be riddled with ads. Isn't that the (admittedly unfair but true for the mobile market) stereotype?
That engine popped into my head again today and I'm pretty sure that we're still no closer to finding out what actually happened. Most likely some beef with Autodesk. Also I'm not sure whay JB is expecting in 5 years…
I have one serious issue that I haven't seen mentioned before. Wouldn't this open up a giant legal loophole for people to claim that ther CSAM is "just Ai generated"? Yes, mandatory watermarking could be considered a…
I looked through the IA but it was all locked behind accounts and contacting their sales team. Presumably one of the many reasons that Tao didn't catch on (although it was a common practise back in the dark ages...)
I wish that linux installs were more self contained though. Directly dumping everything into a global folder is a bit messy and you can only ever have one version of a shared library installed unless each version is…
