NPR needs to be more concise. Their informative articles such as this one are written as if the writer is trying to get an A in creative writing 101. Knock off the color and give us the scoop in 2-3 paragraphs.
As long as the internet has Facebook, culture isn't being saved.
If you're NYC, just play music in the subway. If you're capable of rhythm, you can make at least $20 an hour to tide you over until you find more work.
