I use Ansible scripts to automate the setup on my new Macs, so far so good
In other words, all you do in use the iPad as a thin-client. Which a Chromebook could do. Which your phone could do. Which any of those laptops from 2002 could do.
Completely agree. This is not entirely a software fault. Someone must have thought that it was ok and safe enough to rely on data from one sensor.
As an A320 family pilot, I still haven’t done cold and dark start. Maybe once day I will find an opportunity to.
It uses Electron.. which is packaged Chromium. That's the hog.
So... this is just another one of those "create a remote server to use as the main development machine"? What if I want to work in areas of little or rubbish connectivity? Tools such as docker, etc don't exist just to…

That is from 2014. There have been many changes in the programming language since. Most people nowadays are using frameworks and abstraction layers which make most of these points moot.
