Common issue with TTS models right now. I use ElevenLabs to dictate articles while I commute and it has a stroke on decimals and symbols.
Of the big companies doing significant work in AI, I'd say Meta is one of the top ones to work at. Even if you're just looking at it from a 'who are the good guys' standpoint.
I switched to Wayland (hyprland) last year and have never regretted it, until I need to load up an Electron app. What a shit framework.
This whole "AI replacing engineers" statement would bear a lot more weight if it came from a company that doesn't have in-house model development teams like Shopify and Meta.
Mike from Vesta (first demo video) claims Devin saved "at least a hundred hours" debugging API integrations. That seems crazy to me - API integrations rarely take that long, and any engineer would spot issues like wrong…
