To be honest I'd rather live in the world where people have an overabundance of care for each other rather than the world where people disregard the well-being of others entirely. Of course it's not binary, and it…
I don't think praising Libertarians here is relevant whatsoever, they had nothing to do with this and as far as I can tell... very little to do with the public warming up to the idea of legalized marijuana. You can…
They were drinking beer and wine most of the time, and often much weaker than our modern beer and wine. Hard liquor is a big part of the problem, but social life in America is a total disaster and overshadows everything…
We live in a society
You seem to be getting downvoted, but you're not wrong. They're entirely different ends of the market.
It's a shame the quality fades in and out! it's unintelligible at times
I imagine the FBI strongly considers scale and intent. Troy Hunt is very obviously not reselling accounts, for example. Though keep in mind that the FBI can go after whoever they want, sometimes without reason at all.
I worked on a site once that had mailing addresses autofilled into an anonymous survey field. It's a big vector for accidentally leaking personal information.
Ignoring spec isn't the way to solve that problem. You complain to the people who are breaking spec. Google isn't the arbiter of how the internet works, but they love to act like they are.
If you use MDN once or twice a month it's still well worth the $10, IMO. I use it way more frequently than that.
I'd argue that navigating streets is significantly harder than landing a rocket. Space X can land a rocket for example, but fully autonomous cars are still a ways off.
Photos are also fake, did you know the past wasn't really black and white?
Apple is moving in the opposite direction in macOS, so I wouldn't hold my breath on them choosing to do this whatsoever. Sideloading goes against their entire iOS app philosophy. This would also mean that Facebook would…
Doesn't Vox consider articles living artifacts and regularly change them as they become more informed? More like a wiki that's meant to be highly relevant in search results? I'm not saying this is right or wrong, but…
Honestly that doesn't seem all that great for $9bn.
Is being at a beach sexually suggestive? I think they're making a good point here by making this distinction include overtly and explicitly. We've grown into a society where nudity (or near nudity) is equated with…
I'm disappointed to hear that so many people are judgemental of the language we use, because often the best way to learn is to make mistakes.
Facebook is much much larger than its competitors, which is probably why it's targeted... for most people it is social media. It's the head of the beast.
Why would it be?
They won't be punished because relevance is still vastly more important. A news startup isn't going to eat the New York Times' lunch by beating them with performance. Maybe you'll see a little competition at the top,…
nothing wrong with copying a working design, when you're in a high risk situation it's prudent to reduce variables
You are vastly underestimating how judgemental people are. I know someone with a mugshot up for a non-violent drug use offense and she still struggles with it when background checks come up over a decade later. I agree…
So, $50 annual gym credit?
This was my interpretation too, she's seeking reassurance from her mother... who says she shouldn't care, but she doesn't seem satisfied
If the mail gets back to the sender, which is a big IF... the companies have no process to handle it. Why would they? You were advertised to; mission accomplished.
