Senior adult in late 70s. I've been in the computer field since the mid 60s on a CDC 8090 tube type mainframe computer. Paper tape and punch cards was the way information was stored. At the time I was stationed aboard the USNS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as a CWO with FTG, later with NCID. After being at GITMO (beforre it became a Federal Prison) for 11.5 years I resigned and 10 weeks later I was in the Army at the same rank stationed at Ft Jackson attached to Military Intelliegence. Although, I remained in MI, but never left CONUS (Continential United States) beccause of that 11.5 years on GITMO. I did see some different areas in this country for that matter, and now some of those Forts are no longer, Fort, Devon, Fort Ord, and back to Fort Jackson in a 10 year stint in the Army. I retired with 21.5 years combined military service as a CWO2. After being t for 6.5 years I was recalled back to the Navy only to work directly under the Pentagon IG.
