As I read the article I couldn't not help but feel a certain similarity in his words and Neuromancer.
I went a couple of weeks ago to the Yuki Matsuri on Sapporo, and it was very funny that they accepted chinese credit cards, and virtual payments, but they did accept japanese credit cards.
