Java definitely does have that, although maybe not in the most commonly used JDK distributions. E.g. companies needing ultra-low latency even before the first request, would use Azul JDKs like Prime (paid), pre-train…
They just feel like they should say something about it, and that's the low hanging fruit.
It's probably because Naver is a Korean website, with some English localization. In Korean, it's fine to split a word to a new line almost anywhere. I'm guessing it's using the same configuration even for English.
