I haven't noticed anything and I use Safari/Chrome pretty heavily on my Touch. Under what conditions would this noticeably affect my browsing?
Please refrain from commenting on subjects that you're ignorant about. "Distasteful" subreddits that consist of compromising photos of teenagers taken without their knowledge are to be tolerated." As per…
If it makes you feel better, this millennial knows very well what the Saturn launch system looks like! You can thank Space Camp for that :)
Your reply once again proves that you're incapable of understanding the players, and instead of attempting to understand, you're judging and insulting them and how they freely choose to spend their time. Seriously just…
What BS. Why on Earth should games be sterilized down to ensure that all players receive an equal treatment? That's not how it works, not at all, because primarily: You can't control players, and players affect each…
And when it comes to Martian geography, we are hopelessly bad at judging scale. It's very easy to be several orders of magnitude off without a guide or legend.
I know how much API access was in 2008 - FREE. I know how much API access is in 2012 - NOT FREE (for volume users, of which Apple most certainly was). What more do you need? Google wanted to make significant money from…
The big issue is: The new iPod Touch 5th gen is $300. For a 4" screen. How can they sell the new iPad at even $300? It would have to be $350, minimum. The iPad 2 is still $400, why buy a 7" for $400 when a 10" is $400??…
Right, but you will see their content in your feed, and I think that was the point of the comment.
>It hurts Apple's customers because they are blocking a superior free product for no apparent reason but to kill competition. Misinformation. Apple isn't BLOCKING anything! Apple released, in iOS1, Apple Maps…
Saying that the PC loses to the web is like saying that cars lose to the new highway. Sure, maybe everyone is replacing their car with a motorcycle, but then the car is losing to the motorcycle, not the highway.
I know, right? They're about 80% as good as Google maps for me. They do all the same things, but admittedly I haven't done obscure turn by turn (then again, it didn't do turn by turn at all before...).
I disagree with the cutting the deal short. The Maps app was in beta for months, was announced in April and I bet that Google knew it was coming even before the official announcement. Quite frankly, Google has had…
Yes, they should have teamed up with another direct competitor, because that's worked so well for them in the past. Why go through Microsoft when their data is Nokia based anyway?
I dislike that a Google search for "Mozilla Persona" returns Firefox Personas first, meaning that Mozilla now has 'Persona' and 'Personas' projects that are totally and completely unrelated to one another. Something has…
I think people don't understand how disruptive electric cars will be, when combined with autonomous cars. When all you do is pull out your cellphone, select a route and a car picks you up in 5 minutes, takes you to your…
Well, Chrome cooked their goose with a totally different methodology. A little agility is never a bad thing when you're being out-competed by the same company who pays most of your bills.
Exactly. Bored people go to Facebook.com. Bored? Type Facebook.com. That's what people do. And considering the influx of "content" pages, like George Takei's, which provide continuous content updates all day long, I can…
If you want to play this game, then sure: Mark my words, Google+ will never replace Facebook. When Facebook declines, it will be due to genre-fatigue, not unit-fatigue.
"Still using Facebook" It's like you're actively denying the fact that it is, TODAY, the largest and most used social network in history. Would you at least let it BEGIN it's user decline before you call it dead? Let me…
4 days shouldn't. A minority of Android devices, notably the most recent flagships, are getting decent upgrades. But even a glance at what version of Android is being used:…
My point was that anecdotal experience is worse than useless, as everyone and their aunt has "a story".
Anecdotally, I have the opposite experience. I can think of three Android users in my friend group so disillusioned with their SGS1 and 2 that they want to abandon Android as fast as possible. Doing an OTA update on day…
I never said that Apple was blameless, but rather I am arguing that they are not "leading the way". Remember, Apple sued Samsung with patents made in house with Steve Jobs name on it. Samsung sues with standards…
It wasn't crappy at the time. For those of us used to Windows 3.x it was amazing. This is more akin to selling Windows 95 on machines after Windows 98SE was already out. At that point, yes, 95 was considered terrible.
