Stance for board sports is nearly even, one analysis shows 56% regular vs 44% goofy [1]. It's not like handedness at all. Not sure why one was designated "normal" and the other "weird" when it's so close. My guess is…
If you use OpenSCAD I highly recommend using BOSL along with it: https://github.com/revarbat/BOSL/wiki. It's essentially a standard library for OpenSCAD full of incredibly useful things. For example, adding a radius=2…
That isn't a feeling though, it's a thing they think. It's a judgement on the actions of others.
The blue is nicer if you do that. Technology Connections has made 3 videos over the last 5 years mostly centering around how he hates the blue led lights used in holiday lights. I think I've only seen the 2 yr old one,…
PP does not contain BPA. You might be thinking of PC.
IDK seems fine to me. > we also wouldn’t express someone being very focused as “being on Adderall”, or a very creative idea as being “on shrooms” in a scientific publication. We don't because nobody does, and many…
We must be thinking of different things because imo carbon taxes are the most direct way to internalize the externality. Crude oil, coal, and natural gas now cost more, proportional to their GHG potential, and the free…
Yeah, that's literally what they said.
I can't be sure that other people feel in the same way that I do. I assume they do because they act like it and so I go along with it. If I can't be 100% sure that people feel in the same way that I do, then asking that…
The warcraft 3 and StarCraft 2 custom maps line tower wars and winter maul wars fit that bill. You each have to build a maze as well as send units. Units increase your recurring income but also give fixed money for the…
There are definitely people who will move every single thing out of a house in a weekend for free. That's how storage unit auctions are done, and buyers even pay for it.

I used to feel that way, but eventually figured out a set of design principles that took care of the parts of the game that were stressing me out. Turning off biters, building with a main bus, making a mall for…
That other people have feelings?
I'm not suggesting it's deterministic. People have been saying that if driverless cars are safer than humans by any amount we should allow them. I'm saying they should be much safer than humans before we allow them. The…
The problem is that it's a different set of people who will die with self driving cars. Imagine the trolley problem but instead of 5 vs 1 it's 30,000 vs 29,000. The 30,000 people get hit by the trolley and die if you…
I realize that, but 1 month vs 6 months? It's not just that the infrastructure is all different, ramping up on a codebase is extremely time consuming itself. You're going to have that at any other large tech company. If…
IDK what your experience is, but in my experience at Google it would take about 6 months before I could consider someone "reasonably productive". Or maybe it takes about 6 months before I'm confident that they are…

I worked at Google in KIR for the past 5 years. You calling the working conditions "atrocious" is hilarious. This is why people call Googlers entitled.
