I would run some underground conduit to a box in the ground by the road with ~10m of extra extension cable in the box.
I'd be far more inclined to jump on my bike and ride to my local shops instead of driving if I didn't have to wear a helmet. If I'm riding on the shoulder of a busy road then I wear a helmet by choice, but riding around…
I wonder what sort of metals this process would work with effectively and whether surfaces can be reprocessed over time.
