Not all i2c devices can be read that way. There are several devices that require an address (on top of the device address) to be written before data can be read, but without a second stop bit after writing the address.…
So far Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex is still my favourite cyberpunk TV series. I really want something to dethrone it. If HBO gives Snowcrash the Westworld treatment then I am hopeful but I'm still uncertain.

Aren't Broadcom network switching SOC the industry standard?
This post seems to blame the administrators for picking a product based on checklist. The problem is if the administrator is concerned about his end user, he would consult his end users who will end up giving him a…
It's going to be difficult to keep the sensor completely clean for the next person to use.
Saskatchewan has a government run telco called Saskatel, that's why you're inlaws have decent service. Every where else in Canada has worse service than Comcast.
I didn't think you could short immediately after IPO.
How old is this post? I thought it was established in the Last Jedi (spoiler ahead) that she was just a random person who was abandoned by parents who were nobody special.
So I'm trying to look into IWG (which the article claims is WeWork's primary rival) since it looks like they'll have less competition in a year or two. It looks like they're traded in the London Stock Exchange. Google…
Yup. Everyone remembers what happened with the whole IRS/Teaparty thing.
The purpose of an IPO is to raise money to do something. It doesn't make any sense to sell part of your company to a random set of people, just to pay them back over time. That's like me getting a mortgage for my house…

Once the technology is proven out they could sell the equipment to law enforcement.
Isn't that the kind of policy that creates places like North Korea? And we're already heavily tied to china's economy why would forcing just one company to not cooperate help deligitimize their government?
Wait, what? Do you have any evidence of that? I would have thought any increase in global instability would hurt most markets.
Probably not going to generate any lawsuits but kind of shows how complicit the general public is about constructing a surveillance state. We bitch when the government spies on us. But with this we're effectively making…
Cloud or not, you have to trust your vendor to deliver the service you paid them for. That's the whole reason for doing business with them.
We can always go back to liveleak and vimeo. I think all the youtube I watch would be fine for an 8 year old and I think most of the people who use youtube are the same. The most popular platform should be the most…
In the context of this discussions why would it matter if someone never worked at Google vs someone who used to work at Google. They're not acting on behalf of Google when they make the contribution.
There are still some developers who work on microcontrollers and the like. Also a lot of the embedded world still has MMUs and caches but there's not a whole lot of software between you and hardware.
The audio on my G4 plus died last year. It sounded like a common problem with no clear resolution. Plus they haven't updated it to Android 8.0.
well said. I feel like doing an overnight trip with someone (like a camping trip or a roadtrip) generates strong bonds with people you would otherwise not know that well. But it only takes a few months to a year of…
I don't think cost is the benefit of cloud. For tech companies the benefit is scale (you won't know how popular a product is until you deploy). For non-tech companies the benefit is not having to deal with things that…
Are you a social media on your phone guy? I mostly have been a social media on my PC person and I think when I'm out I do take note of the people around me but I wouldn't start a random conversation with someone. Mostly…
