I wonder if there's a way to get offline Wikipedia on this
I wonder if being able to block access to/hide specific apps, e.g. banking apps or whatever could be a good idea here?

iirc it was more doing it for the experience than as a convenient mode of travel (and actually if you run the maths/do some estimation, the journey time would be much shorter if they were driving 24/7 - like 5-10 days…
it also excludes downloads Windows/Mac OS app stores though I don't know what percentage of Windows/Mac users would download it that way
