I recommend including quantitative data, i.e. the feature I worked on increased user engagement by 15%.
Great question. It looks like a cool language, but why should I use it?
I can’t stand watching television or films with subtitles on (unless it is in a foreign language). It ruins the delivery of the dialog.
I'm surprised I haven't read this before. Very entertaining.
Elm is definitely a very interesting language. I would recommend the following if anyone is interested in seriously learning it: https://pragmaticstudio.com/elm
No problem. However, I usually use z - https://github.com/rupa/z to jump around, but I like the shortcuts concept of goto.
This looks cool. I’m going to give it a “check” on my Mac. EDIT: Appears to be working peachy on OS X 10.10.2 with zsh.
I’m in agreement. The pricing is quite high for a new product, and there is a lot of competition out there.
I've been thinking about trying out Fish shell for awhile, though I have zsh setup to my liking. Concerning Xiki, it definitely remind me of Emacs org mode / shell.

Another great resource to learn functional programming. Thanks.
Thanks, this looks like a great course. Not quite sure how to sign-up but I'm sure I'll figure it out :)
Dash really is an indispensable developer's tool for OS X, but it took me a bit to integrate it into my work flow. Now I use it all the time, it's great.
I like the syntax. However, how many markup/markdown languages do we need?
I'm very interested in learning either Go or Rust. Of course I could learn both, but when I learn a new language (or anything really), I like to really immerse myself and focus. I'm leaning towards Go but Rust is very…
Can anyone point me in the right direction of an article that sums up how this whole fragmentation started? I'm curious to know the history.
Amen. I started to code a bit in OCaml and it's great.
Maybe I'll actually use Puppet now. Very cool news.
I really thought this thread was a prank or joke when I saw the title. Sadly, it's not. The whole 2.7 / 3.x debacle is a large part of why I I have more or less stopped coding in Python and moved on to Ruby. The…
I'm floored by this news, and extremely disappointed with Dropbox. From the beginning I have been a huge proponent of Dropbox. I was lucky enough to get a free 50 GB account, and I use it for probably 30+ daily…
Thanks.
This looks great. I've never been happy with the other iOS applications for Reddit, Narwhal will probably be my default Reddit application now.
Question - would you recommend working through SICP in Racket? What about MIT Scheme in Emacs?
Seems reasonable to me.
yawn Another "breakup letter"...fascinating...
