I tried this out because I know a little French and would like to know more. I was first put off becuase when "Je suis de Anchorage" (which I'm pretty sure is not idiomatic anyway) was expected, "Je suis d'Anchorage"…
And if we're mining asteroids at that point, there's no need to toss the stations into space. Just build them there.
I think a good rule of thumb is to only use the preprocessor to generate code that you would be comfortable writing yourself. Spaghetti produced by macros is still spaghetti. The article reminded me of queue.h from BSD…
