I think the amount of energy needed during wintertime would be difficult to cover with pumped storage or traditional batteries. You have to have suitable geography for pumped storage and also enough (fresh) water…
How about video of it?
Strange as I have never heard that you would have to show your ID when buying a prepaid sim card in Finland. And I have also bought them several times and I think that I have sometimes bought them with cash.
I have also noticed that for some reason hot showers and also shoulder and head massage help seem to help a lot, but only about as long as I am in the shower or have the massage. And also putting Vicks VapoRub on scalp…
I found a video that has lot of information about the cable severing ship: Tanker Eagle S Seized by Finland for Severing Cables Between Finland & Estonia | Is it a Spy Ship? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy27qiKVCSI
I think it had helicopter pad, a harbor for relatively large ships etc. I think Russia had planned to use it as a place to land troops or "green men" during war as spying could happen without helicopter pad etc.
First two sabotages were done by Chinese ships (which may have had russians on the board). This one was registered to Cook Islands.
Is the exact positions public info or is it just crude positions? BTW, if the exact cable positions is public info, where is it available?
It seems that Putin thinks Russia is able to take Belarusia by coercion: Putin’s plan for a new Russian Empire includes both Ukraine and Belarus https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrainealert/putins-pl...
I don't think it was incompetent attempts to attach something to the lines. It severed 4 data data cables and electricity cable called Estlink 2. If it hadn't been stopped, it would have severed also Estlink 1 within…
As far as I know, they still need classical encryption methods (with something like shared secret key or public key for authentication) to detect active man in the middle attacks where the attacker prevents the parties…
In the Greek wiretapping case, which has been linked to the US Embassy, there was a suspicious suicide: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_wiretapping_case_2004%E2...
If it was assasination, who did it as it happened so soon afterwards? I would assume that it took long time for Iran to find out the Stuxnet.
In Finland defamation doesn't (always) require falsehood either and I think the same is true in Sweden as well. However, you are much more likely to get a conviction if the statement you made is a lie. And there has to…
As a non-native English speaker I find this kind of efforts to outlaw some words in English language and replace them with others hostile to non-native English speakers. Speaking English is already hard enough and now I…
It sounds very odd to ask about these kind of things during employment. How often do for example LGBT persons provide this kind information in their job application and is it even legal to ask it? And on the other hand,…
How do the HR people even know that if some team members are LGBT? I am a gay and I think it is my private matter and not something I would be interested sharing with for example my employer. I prefer to separate work…
7 hours of storage might work in a country like Australia, but not necessarily in some other countries. For example, in Finland winter is several months long and during that time PV will produce almost no electricity.…
Using electricity for heating is relatively easy. There is no need to use gas for heating and in many countries heating is done mostly without gas.
I am not familiar with the winder conditions in Southern Europe. Is there enough sunlight during winter that it would be feasible to provide a lot of solar energy during wintertime - not just for local use, but to…
Green party managed to stop the process of getting new reactors many times with different political tricks. And when they finally reluctantly agreed to build more nuclear energy, they demanded that only one (or was it…
Perhaps in theory, although transmission losses would be large. But I wouldn't want to be on the mercy of distant countries, perhaps on different continent, for getting energy, especially during winter. And as there are…
Have you solved the problem of intermittent power production by solar and wind energy and included the costs of it to the calculation? It seems to me that the solar and wind energy are causing problem in the energy…
Most of the electricity in Finland is not produced by using fossil fuels. For example during year 2020 14 % of the electricity in Finland was produced by fossil fuels.
At least battery storage seems to be unrealistic solution. The needed amount of energy storage for several months is enormous and in addition to that problem, batteries tend to self-discharge. Geothermal energy and…
