How did you learn your F#?! Have never had any problem writing reusable functions. On windows 8,000 nuget packages works for me as an ecosystem. on linux/osx/droid we have xamarin booming along.
Early days for FSSF. You can use F# with MonoDevelop on Windows. Standalone compilers for all platforms are in the works.
