I used it too and it gets you from A to B but there is nothing that tells it if there is a road closure, traffic jam, other road issues that makes the drive longer etc etc.

Have you looked into Rustdesk? The setup isn't complicated, it's basically TeamViewer but local. It provided me with a way better quality than anything VNC based on linux.
