Try looking up Ben Cloward on YouTube. He's quite concise and thorough.
The "don't show this channel" feature also feels like there is some kind of expiry because I've blocked a few channels multiple times now via that method. Totally a theory but sometimes YouTube has a button that says…
Not a game but the impressive VFX software embergen is written in Odin iirc.
My guess* autocorrect
That would be my God. In parts of the gaming industry working there can make you a pariah though. Not a huge portion but I've seen people get rejected based on working there and a couple other choice companies.
Thank you for sharing this. This is really interesting.
Kind of and I've certainly used systems like that before but in practice it's not really a massive improvement. Sometimes it's even a tad annoying having another layer of indirection.

Just an update. Discord now shows a modal dialog trying to get me to sign up for nitro about every other time I bring up the app. I'm really going to have to start looking into self hosted alternatives soon

Honestly this is a big reason why perforce is still my favorite source control solution. Along with p4v
My old boss keeps telling me to watch that. Thanks for the reminder!
Languages like haxe simply won't compile if you don't cover every enum value in a switch case. Would that not be preferable? I quite like that feature. F# I believe is similar wrt discriminated unions and pattern…
Yeah it's tough. Unfortunately game design is not my strongest attribute. Hopefully someone more creative than I can think of something though!
Would love to see some media based off this concept. I'm so sick of cyberpunk.
F# and Haxe. Love both of those languages
Did you make this same post before? I swear I've already read this a couple months ago. Edit : putting this into Google does indeed show the same post from before this thread was created. Weird
I've done construction, masonry, retail sales, barista, deli, a line cook, aiding the mentally challenged and Software development. Id say all those jobs can be stressful.
Awesome! Especially as a pessimistic person being able to find that and break through. Thanks for sharing!
