What can't transformers do?
Exactly.
I'll check that out. I know when I'm recovering from an illness I need to push myself a bit to regain energy. But it also makes sense that its not a universal experience.
Yes when the layoffs happen it should be done with dignity. But no one owes you a "heads up".
Why do devs beg for information about lay-offs. It's unbecoming. Communicating these things ahead of time doesn't do any good for anyone. If you're concerned, start looking for other work.
I do wonder how much of this is self-fulfilling atrophy. You're tired and sick, so you stay in bed. Then you get weak, making you more tired. Hopefully she can turn things around, regardless of underlying causes.
This is why no one can build anything. You can't even have an idea without first doing all the work. That's insane. He doesn't owe anyone anything.
It's obviously premature to dismiss the idea without actually determining ROI or opportunity cost.

Better to ask why light is so slow...
When the cost of making a change gets close to zero, it's easy to keep fiddling endlessly...
This is a false dichotomy I think... The difference in this case between a "founder" and a "manager" is more about understanding the nuts and bolts of the business and being able to lean on that understanding in ways…
These arguments are pointless because in a few years you can have your AI of choice translate Linux to your language of choice. The real question is will you even bother to do it? Will it matter at that point?
300ms is easy. Just build something that does what you want with the confidence that you can optimize it later.
