This kind of a comment where middle and senior management will be rendered useless (and therefore feel threatened) by communication-competent engineers is both prevalent on HN and absurdly wrong from a business…
It does. It would be nice if controversial statements, said in good faith, were not downvoted and flagged, but thats not a reality on HN. Much easier to make burners, say what’s on one’s mind, and move on.
I have such an account. But HN requires burner accounts all the same.
As far as accounts go you really don’t have a choice on HN, because eventually you’ll get flagged enough to get throttled/suspended and eventually banned for being too controversial, not following groupthink, etc.…
