I would—and have—provide the same feedback to a man. I'd consider it sexist not to offer the same level of guidance just because of gender.
I don't see your point. You can ask a question without using "question words", and you can use question words without asking a question.
Personally I find it rude not to provide honest, constructive feedback because it robs me of a chance to learn.
