Of course it is. LLMs aren't as smart as you think, or at least their "intelligence" isn't comparable to ours. They're just a useful tool, and they will always need someone to guide them.

Depends how you define "better". I'd argue that modern engineers are better generalists, and engineers 20-40 years ago were better specialists.
