I'm on Clang 19 and still have a bunch of those sysctl commands sitting around.
Definitely not the only language. Other long-lived languages like C++ get this treatment too.
I occasionally reconsider it so I can try a bunch of the FB alternatives (Folly, Thrift, CacheLib, etc.), but... yeah. Still just kind of waiting for a panacea.
