My initial impression is it doesn't seem analyze groups of words very well. It will pick emotional words out of the middle of a sentence and apply the emotion to the whole text, when the context of the sentence changes…

Why are you comparing the effort of an opinion article to that of a research article? That's not how this concept works.
Seems like this might be pretty effective. There are plenty of emotional robots out there that won't mind the stress levels and just want to constantly be useful.

It's important to be reminded of this every so often. It definitely helps to get through "tougher days" if you're able to have a little perspective on how great things actually are, or how much worse they could be.
