I had a really poor experience with Xamarin on macOS. Especially with Xamarin Studio IDE, it seemed like support was well behind Windows + VS.
Well, you could always take the Forbes approach and show a ten-second fullscreen ad. Then you've only got two seconds to cover for. :P
From the perspective of the 10% that remain, why would they bother to stay if 90% were cut? Sounds like taking on ten times the day to day workload. In SF, it's not like they couldn't go elsewhere for work.
