It is terrible if you have any infrastructure and you are not 100% dependent of people like Sam Altman.
CP/M on floppy came with my C128.
I use Xodo for Android on Galaxy Tab S, that way I can make notes and markings with pen on top of PDFs. For audio books SmartAudioBook app is quite good.
