That said, the bump in battery/processor, tracking for controllers, and passthrough should be nice for folks that more wanted something to try in the vein of the 2, versus the "step up" to the 3

Out of curiosity, there are now enterprise sellers offloading old Tesla cards for relatively cheap (ie K40 ~$100 - $150, k80/M40 ~$150 - $200); are these worth looking at on a budget versus the 900 or 1600 series cards?…
