On the side, I have disturbingly overdeveloped interest in law, having attended a dozen US Supreme Court arguments and acquired almost a dozen Supreme Court justice bobbleheads.
Technically, default arguments don't <em>quite</em>, <em>purely</em>, desugar exactly into that -- there are some scoping complexities to them as well (possibly only for functions having strict mode code), the details…
My, cynical much? Seems to me that 10+ years at a non-profit, and choosing to live in a place outside the traditional startup locations (New Zealand) with fewer networking opportunities, might indicate fairly little…
