Is it astonishing you got to 17% with some vibe code? Sure. But most of the stuff I’ve vibe coded this year has been astonishing by 2025’s standards. If you got 100% I’d be genuinely blown away.
Clicked on the story expecting underwater bat-like weapon system. Was incredibly disappointed.
We monitor air data quite closely at work. CO2 rises really fast with people in even a large space. I wouldn’t put too much effort into vents above a door as we’ve seen that CO2 will leak through doors and even…
Got briefly excited thinking they’d actually 3D printed the real thing
Yeah I skimmed it and it all read like when I ask ChatGPT to go wild and be “fun”.
We usually drive to work. That means that when the sun’s shining, the car isn’t home. Conversely, if we didn’t drive to work, we probably wouldn’t have a car. On the other hand, we have a big solar array at work so if…
Pilot here, I don’t think this is right. Aircraft typically operate at 80-100% power output. It’s not the average 20% power output of your car. Weight is pretty much everything, the savings from regenerative braking in…
It’s because they’re next to Kaliningrad, that weird Russian exclave
It’s ok, it’s now a million dollars/year cheaper when your renewal comes up! Jokes aside though, some good performance sleuthing there.
Are you sure you’re not just flying more now you’re not drinking? Single pilot IFR being fun or scary mostly comes down to currency!
Mostly mountain wave presumably?
Went to Steiner school, can confirm I’m capable of knitting a chicken. It worked out well for me in terms of education but that’s a small data point.
VATSIM’s pretty neat, really enjoyed flying in sim using it before I got my actual license. I’m not sure how much it helped though, the real challenge (at first) is making your brain handle “fly the aeroplane” and “talk…
Weirdly often not! They’re quite different recreational activities. Flying powered is a “go to the airfield and takeoff” whereas gliding is more of an all-day team sport at most clubs as there’s a lot of ground handling…
I think this would effectively increase the stresses on the airframe leading to greater metal fatigue which probably isn’t a good outcome
I think the company originally made forward looking infrared sensors for military aircraft. The name’s just stuck around since.
Just so happen to be in La Rochelle tomorrow. I’ll go find Joshua!
We have 10s of thousands of street lights using LoRaWAN amongst other things. It’s very much being used! Just might not be that obvious.
I looked at this the other day! Sadly no way to configure WiFi other than at the point of flashing the device which rules it out for a lot of use cases.
This is a bit dumb and I feel like if as much effort had been made doing it as writing the blog post, a more positive outcome would have resulted.
Surely the drop in credit score is attributed to opening a load of accounts in a short space of time - it's something that people generally do when they're desperate for credit so is used as an indicator.
Last time this happened in the UK it was a push to call for assistance system that got stuck on, also at 433mhz. It’ll be the same here.
Our team really likes the mac app!
Really enjoyed the video showing the spectacular failures in the build up to getting it right. Turns out rocket science is hard.
Just to be a pain... as an instrument-rated pilot could the widget have the cloud heights on it visually? Maybe the top of the widget is 5,000 feet or something.
