Basically most of the technology was US govt funded at some point. Now the Dutch can just leech off of that. I guess that’s what they’re good at considering their long history with VOC and “mercantilism”.
So they used pirated materials to train their models but others can’t use their models for training even if you pay.
It is not SOTA. Give me a break. Sure, run it on Cerebras to get speed but that’s pretty much its advantage.

Even if you never use Blender, I highly recommend you to donate to the organization if you happen to donate to non-profit tech organizations/projects.
It’d pretty much Houdini plus render engine of your choice. Blender will eventually get there especially if someone rolls out an AI module.
Intelligence was always relatively cheap. You can pick up a phone and get answers for free in most academic settings.
Company run by consultants and MBAs.
