I didn't realise I had so many right wing friends on facebook (Read: Not real friends). All they can come up with in response is "omg Kim Dotcom is fat lol"
lol 3rd world.
I found that Hanoi had a lot nicer and cheaper hotels than I could finnd in HMC. I did book online prior to arriving though - I was only staying in HMC for a short time and didn't want to waste my time accommodation…
monetising a website by putting ads or affiliate links on it does not qualify as a "startup" in my opinion. It bugs me how the hacker community throws the word startup around willy nilly.
Products, yes. Startups, no. The other "startups" are just products too.
... brain damaged?
I once had a boss who would deliberately skip over any indian sounding names in a pile of CVs. Update: He would skip over them without reading them.
I signed up and got to the https://go.hoistapps.com/welcomeSource page and when I try and click "Get started" with upload selected I get a js error.
Those screamed Starbucks to me too. I guess starbucks have done nice work with their branding and marketing, such that anybody looking at a circle with some writing and frilly bits thinks "Starbucks".
What a strange way to threaten someone into donating millions of dollars to your cause.
I completely agree.
Who else has absolutely no idea what this is about?
A shorter explanation would be nicer...
I just upgraded from my 2010 MBP to the most recent Macbook Air 13" and I am so happy I did. The screen isn't that bad because they stepped up the resolution to 1440x900. It gives the effect of a much larger screen.
My initial thoughts too. I can't see any other reason for it's use.
EXACTLY! I also read the blog on the assumption that the author was a woman up until he began mention of his wife etc. Does that make us sexist?
Am I sexist for assuming that the author was a woman right up until the point where he says "Surprisingly most of my women friends and my wife" ?
+1 on your last sentence. If management can't spare anything to treat you better then why bother going the extra mile? Gear up for your next (better) job.
I feel exactly the same. She even got a $14k resettlement fee! If she didn't want to be evicted out into the cold she should have been a little warmer to her landlord and neighbors instead of being such a nuisance.
A lot of people reuse passwords across multiple sites - so nab their plain-text password + find out their email address, and you likely able to log into various other services using their credentials.
Agreed - He didn't even say that it was an issue at all. He seemed more concerned that the users are scoped to particular API keys and that he will lose his reviews.
The problem is that the app uses the same API key no matter what device it is installed on. If you download the app today you can find the API key and use it to retrieve the passwords for any users that have signed up…
I was wondering that too! He has blatantly shown that he has forked Laravel in the README. I kinda feel sorry for the guy, he just doesn't realise you aren't allowed to relicense in the way he did.
That's a great idea - that would have been damning evidence.
Good to hear that there was a lesson learned today. Some things are best kept in your drafts folder, huh?
