Can anyone else vouch for this? I've never heard of the author and $39 is steep pricing for a book.
I don't feel there are any real benefits in upgrading. It'll just slow down my MacBook even more.
Did this on my 2008 MacBook, still running Snow Leopard. The speed was immediately noticeable when browsing the web. I'd recommend it if anyone else has noticed a slow down at all.
I agree, the specs are fairly weak, makes me wonder if the base model can really handle 4k video editing. That being said - the overall price considering it includes a 5k screen is pretty damn good.
