Are you referring to actual engineers (civil, mechanical, etc) or software developers that call themselves engineers?
Please stop using engineer when referring to software developers.
VBA may not be a beautiful language but at least it is not a design flawed language like JavaScript.
Addendum: can someone tell me what's wrong with using software developer as a description of what we do?, why do we need to borrow other professions titles?, it's because we want more respect?
Your engineering state association decides. Same as the medical associations, bar associations for lawyers, etc.
So just anybody can call themselves engineer?, don't you realize this is a disservice to the actual engineers?
Are you a registered member your state's engineers' association? (i.e. do you have seal?), if not please do not call yourself an engineer
Real engineers in north America must write technical and ethical exams, have at least 4 years of continuous and proved experience before they can call themselves engineers. Is indeed sad that people with no knowledge of…
